How to turn multiple images into one PDF

Make a readable document from a set of photos, receipts, or screenshots. This guide uses Xiyuan’s free browser-based converter.

Before you begin

Use JPG, PNG, or WebP files. If your photos are HEIC, export or convert them to JPG using an image app first. The converter does not crop or straighten photos. When photographing paper, keep the camera parallel to the page and avoid shadows.

Step-by-step

  1. 1. Add your imagesOpen the converter and choose your files. On a phone, use the photo or file sources offered by your browser. Each image appears with its filename and page position.
  2. 2. Put pages in orderUse Move up and Move down to set the order. Rotate turns an image clockwise by 90 degrees. Remove unwanted images and check the final sequence.
  3. 3. Choose paper and qualityChoose A4 or US Letter for standard documents; each full image is centered with a margin. Fit image matches the page to the image ratio. Clear keeps up to 3000 pixels on the longest edge; Smaller file keeps up to 1600. Smaller originals are not enlarged.
  4. 4. Create and saveClick Create PDF, then Download PDF. On mobile, your browser may show a downloads list or a system save interface. Open the file to verify orientation, page count, and readability.

Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded?

No. Image reading, page rendering, and PDF creation happen in your browser, with no file-upload step. The website itself and optional analytics still use the network.

Will the PDF text be searchable?

No. The output contains images without an OCR text layer. If you need text recognition, explore FlashScan’s OCR and full-text search features.

Why does my PDF look softer than the original?

Large images are resized and encoded as JPEG. Try Clear quality. If the original text is blurry, converting it cannot restore missing detail.

What about transparency or large files?

Transparent areas become white. The limits are 30 images, 20 MB each, 100 MB total, and 40 megapixels per image. If your phone runs out of memory, use fewer images or Smaller file quality.

Can I recover my images after closing the page?

The tool keeps no conversion history. Download your PDF first. You will need to choose images again when reopening the page. Original files on your device are not changed.

When a scanning app makes more sense

For combining a set of existing images, this web tool is enough. If you regularly work with paper and need scanning, text recognition, and document management, a mobile scanning app may fit your workflow better. FlashScan is our app; explore its screenshots before deciding.
